Thesis topic: Monitoring the regeneration of French forests

My research is about monitoring natural regeneration of main forest tree species at the scale of the French territory, using national forest inventory data. I aim at identifying environmental drivers (climate, soil, ungulates) that may cause spatial variability in occurrence, abundance and species composition of the regeneration layer.
