I manage a network of experimental silvicultural plots for oak and beech across the northern half of France. This includes maintaining the network, implementing measurement protocols, applying silvicultural treatments (thinning), and managing the data. I am also the unit’s “stem analysis” lead, focusing on the retrospective study of tree growth (height and diameter) based on tree-ring analysis of collected wood samples (cross-sections or cores).
