Research Scientist-INRAE
I am working on two parallel projects: (i) understanding the impact of silviculture on the functioning of forest ecosystems, and (ii) developing decision-support tools for forest management at various scales. Regarding the first point, my work has focused on the relationship between management systems with contrasting forest densities and forest functioning. I have chosen to approach this work using a dual approach: modeling and field data collection. As for the second point, the decision-support tool currently under development is centered on coupling a mechanistic gap-model with control theory, for use in facilitating Living Labs.

My research activities have not been limited to developing my research. I have also pursued other activities in order to structure my medium-term career path according to my aspirations. I have therefore accepted several missions:

• Teaching, within the APT engineering program and for students at the University of Lorraine (UL)

• Expertise, serving on the CNPF Scientific Council and participating in various projects that draw upon my expertise as a researcher in forest ecology, silviculture, and modeling, such as the C4Change (LabEx ARBRE), Colibris (RMT-Aforce), and Calif (RMT-Aforce) projects.

In my work, a transdisciplinary approach is central, through the integration of mathematics, ecology, and social sciences. To address the challenges of forest management in the context of climate change, or forest ecology in general, it is essential for me to place interdisciplinarity at the heart of research processes, as it is often a source of innovation, open-mindedness, and a fresh perspective on one's own discipline.
