Research Scientist-INRAE
I am a tree ecophysiologist. I study the physiological, molecular, and developmental responses involved in acclimatization to drought, particularly in poplars, using interdisciplinary and integrative approaches (ecophysiology-functional genomics).
In addition, I study the biophysical and molecular controls of root growth in response to drought and mechanical stress. I characterize growth through kinematic analysis, which provides insight into cell expansion capacity and meristematic activity. I combine these data with measurements of stress, physiological, and molecular parameters to understand the biological responses induced by water deficit or mechanical constraint.
