Thesis topic: Influence of temporal photosynthesis-stomatal conductance decoupling on water and carbon fluxes from leaf to canopy scales under different environmental conditions in European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.).

PhD student in forest ecophysiology investigating how the decoupling between photosynthesis and stomatal conductance affects carbon and water fluxes in European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). Combining gas exchange measurements (greenhouse/forest) and dynamic modeling, I quantify how canopy structure, drought, and potassium nutrition modulate stomatal kinetics.

Area of expertise:

  • Forest
  • gas exchange
  • Non-steady-state modeling
  • Stomatal kinetics
  • Photosynthetic induction
