My research in plant ecophysiology focuses on three main areas: photosynthesis, water relations, and plant hydraulics. I have explored these topics in the context of drought stress across a wide range of species, from model plants to forest trees. My long-term goal is to determine the limits of plant performance under water scarcity, as projected under current global change scenarios. I currently conduct field and greenhouse experiments focused on tree physiology in the context of forest regeneration.
